Process Service & Legal Filings
Legal Filings

Filing your legal documents at the appropriate court
in the appropriate department can be frustrating
and confusing. California Document Processors is
very familiar with court procedures, departments,
and filing fees. Once your paperwork is completed,
we can file your paperwork for you, serve the other
party, and file your Proof of Service with the court.
You can utilize any part of our services at any time.
We recommend that you let us handle all your needs
at one time to complete the process in a timely
manner and assure that the process is completed
    properly.

Process Serving

The law requires that any party being sued for any
reason (family law, small claims, etc.) to be served
with the very same documents that was filed with
the court. Additionally, the documents CANNOT be
served by someone who is a party to the case. At
California Document Processors, we offer process
serving services to handle this for you. We will ask
you specific questions relating to the party who is to
be served and proceed with service.

Proof of Service

After your paperwork is filed with court and served
on the other party, the court requires proof of
service or a "POS" to be filed with the court to
verify that the other party was given their due
process. If you choose to have us serve your
documents for you, we will take care of this step at
no additional cost. At this point (after the POS is
filed) you are ready to move forward with your
    case.

If you require additional services such as subpoena
preparation and people find to prepare for your
hearing, we can offer those services at an additional
cost. The following is brief explanation of those
services taken directly from our website.

Subpoena Preparation & Service

Subpoena preparation is an important and intricate
aspect of any lawsuit requiring production of
documents or witness appearance. We can handle
all of your process service needs anywhere in
Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. We will
prepare your subpoena and submit it to you in 24
hours. We can also serve your subpoena, prepare
the Proof of Service, and file the Proof of Service
with the appropriate court.  Our staff can provide
status reports and furnish proofs of service
promptly. Our registered and bonded process
servers will make multiple attempts to serve at no
extra charge. If our process servers encounter any
problems in attempting to serve your documents,
we will provide you a detailed status report and
follow your further direction.  We are available for
rush service, surveillance, or special assignments.

People Find

Use our People Find service to locate the most
    up-to-date address and telephone information
available. We use the most reliable sources and
partner with private investigators so that we can
provide the most accurate results. We perform a
series of cross references rather than a basic
search as you will find with most "people search"
type of companies and search engines.
